OCTOBER
Picture of the Month

This is the Bruce Tharpe Engineering (BTE) Delta Vortex.  I used the maximum size engine recommended (ala Leo Schlosser), the OS 91 FX with a 14x6 prop (recommended by Tom Fenn), and it is one fast ship.  There were no problems in assembly, I left the ridiculous canopy off, and used twin rudder servos and an 1100 mah battery to offset the weight of the engine.  Unlike the review in RCM I added no lead, and the airplane flys at 7.1 lbs.  Vertical is truly unlimited!  What a rocket!
