Picture of the Month

This is a P-40 Top Flite Kit. It has a 54" wing span and weighs approx. 12 lbs. It is powered by an Enya 1.20 4 stroke engine using a 15x8 prop. It is a little heavier than the manufacturer claims it should be. Extra weight is the results of the finish I choose to use. I covered the plane with 3/4 oz. fiber glass and used polyester resin. The paint is from Nelson Hobby paints and they are military std. colors for the P-40. I brush painted free hand using foam brushes. The plane has Robart pneumatically operated retracts and it also has operational flaps on board. I have the McDaniel glow power for starting and on demand at low throttle.
