FROM THE
EDITOR’S DESK

Greetings and Salutations to you All!
This past Saturday the 28th, a sizable portion of the membership assembled at Bollin Field to enjoy fine flying weather. Jerry Mingo, Bill Hermes and Jerry west were kept busy in between their own flying, teaching us novice flyers the finer points of making holes in the sky.  I had a bit of excitement when my Tower Trainer 40 “Patches” flamed out on take-off. I was on the buddy box with Bill Hermes on the main Control. Bill landed the aircraft in a clearing between a forest of trees. Thanks to Bill’s fine maneuvering the aircraft sustained very minor damage. All in all, it was a fine day! Thanks to all the instructors! You guys are Great!
Happy Flying
