THE PREZ SEZ
Hi everyone
A sad start to this
newsletter, if you don't know by now Tom Fenn was admitted to Tucson UMC
hospital over the weekend. He had surgery to remove a clot in his leg
and is still in ICU. So please keep Tom and his family in your thoughts
and prayers. I'll pass on any new information as I get it.
After all the planning
the open house was a great success. Perfect weather and a pretty good
crowd from what I saw.
Thanks to all for
coming out and supporting this event. We had a great display of aircraft
on the ground and in the air.
Our three trainers,
Eric Fisher, Steve Mason and Steve Pursell gave a total of fifteen
flights to the public and I understand one youngster ( 9 years old ) has
signed up for the intro pilot program. Great job guys. My grandson Josh
was the youngest new pilot at 6 years old. Speaking of Josh if you saw
the herald article he was one of the kids in the photo with his head cut
off, I don't know why they published a photo that looks like an amateur
took it. Apart from that I think we once again got great coverage
there's even a video on the herald web site. If you didn't get to meet
the Mayor he was very interested in the club and knew of the whole
runway history. Seemed like a nice guy to me he's also an ex B29 pilot,
wish I'd known that before we presented him with a B17 model. Thanks
again to everyone for a great job.
If you have any photos
of the event please forward them to our webmaster.
Next Item on the
agenda is the Fathers day funfly which is being held SATURDAY June 14th.
Lets all get out there and have some fun. Steve Pursell is providing the
food this year and for a change we'll be having a pancake breakfast so
get there early and hungry.
Next meeting is
Thursday June 5th so see you all there.
Mick
