The Prez Sez
SEQ CHAPTER
\h \r 1OK, So who out there believes that America is no longer the land
of opportunity? Here I am, an immigrant, and after only 20 years of
dedication and service I’m elected President.
What a country!
This just shows the importance of getting out to vote.
So here’s my
first newsletter, new year new president. I’ve got some big shoes to
fill and I want to thank Bill Hermes for all his work. The Christmas
party was held at Daisy Maes and by all reports was a success. Check out
the photos on the web site, thanks to Dave Fields for a great job. Lots
of airplanes were given away and maybe we’ll even see one of them at the
field soon. I’m also looking for someone to run next years party, any
volunteers?
The biggest
task for this year as I see it is to complete the lease agreement with
the city and take over complete control of Bollin field. The last report
I heard is we are waiting for a response from the city. Hopefully by the
January meeting we’ll have some more news. Speaking of that meeting, if
you have an opinion on this important issue you need to show up and be
heard. It’s no good whining about it at the field after the fact, so get
involved in the running of your club.
Have a happy
and prosperous new year
Mick Fox
HAPPY NEW YEAR
With the start of
the New Year. Tradition says that we should all fly on New Years Day,
so lets all be at the field and fly something………..Will
