Climb & Glide 2002 Results

The Climb & Glide event, held on Sunday, May 12, was interesting from a couple of stand points. First there were only six contestants, two from Tucson and four from Sierra Vista, so all parties were guaranteed a prize. Second there were only four airplanes used. Two in ELECTRIC and two in GAS. Due to Jerry Mingos generosity both Jerry Deebach and David Jenkins used JM's pink lady in the contest. The two first place finishers, Phillip Brister (ELECTRIC) and David Jenkins (GAS), received a nice trophy from MMRCC. All contestants received a prize donated by Advance Ceramic Research of Tucson. Don Mulligan, the Contest Director, solicited the prizes from his son Tony Mulligan. Prizes included 1 electric model kit, 2 drill presses, 2 sanders, and 1 OS LA 40 engine. I'd like to thank Don Mulligan for making this event possible and for supporting it with all those prizes.
